Ever wish the eye doctor would slow down and let you take your time to get it right?

Here’s the eye doctors’ secret we’ve never told you.

“Doc... slow down ! You’re going to fast!”

No I can’t slow down. And not because I am in a hurry. When I flip the lens, I want your response to reflect the lens change, not your eye muscle change. The more time you take to allow the focus muscles to adjust the vision, the less I know about the lens effect. So go ahead and give me the knee jerk response.

“I hate it when I can’t see the difference. I don’t think I’ll answer correctly.”

Before I ask “which is better, one or two?” I’ve already looked into your eyes and suspect I know the answer. If I know what lenses it takes for me to see into your eyes perfectly focused, then I know what lenses it takes for you to see out perfectly focused.

All I am doing is giving you two choices; one is closer to perfect than the other. Just tell me which is better. When both are the same distance from perfect, you will not see a difference. I know the two choices are bracketing the final result. When you feel least confident, I feel most confident. I’ll decide the tie breaker in favor of what is best for your needs.
